New Lecturers Welcome
Our New Lecturer Welcome for Spring 2026 is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. This online orientation includes sessions with University Personnel and representatives from the California Faculty Association, and will be recorded with those who register at this link.
Lecturer Toolkit
We are working on assembling a collection of of online, asynchronous support materials in Canvas, our learning management system. Soon you will find information on inclusive pedagogy, assessment strategies, effective communication, grading and feedback strategies, and more.
Lecturer Retreat
The spring 2026 Lecturer Retreat will focus on "Equity & Belonging in the Age of AI." It will take place on Friday, February 20, 2026⋅9:30am – 1:00pm.

Best Practices for Writing the Annual Evaluation
To help you prepare your Annual Evaluation (aka Annual Summary of Achievements, ASA-L), we have created a one-page handout with best practices to guide your report. It also includes key dates and reminders for the current cycle.

The Office for Faculty Success and University Personnel - Faculty Services offer the following resources when you are ready to prepare:
• View Writing the Range Elevation Narrative: These slides from the annual Range Elevation workshop facilitated by CFD provide strategies for writing a compelling and concise narrative about your professional development.
• Register for the Fall 2025 Range Elevation workshop on Thursday, August 28 from 10:30 - 11:45 am.All registrants will receive a copy of the recording and session materials.
• Visit Faculty Services’ eFaculty Training and Help web page. Here, you will find guides and other helpful materials. Two items will be most helpful:

• What Goes Where? Guide [pdf]
• Faculty Services Training. Applicants should read the Range Elevation Applicant Instructions [pdf], view the calendar, and explore other information on this web page. Staff will be on hand to answer questions Tuesdays from 1:00 - 2:00 pm and Fridays from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm weekly. You can use this Zoom link to attend.
